"By priming your walls with either an acrylic, alkyd, or PVA primer, depending on the surface type, will ensure your wallpaper adheres properly to the surface without damaging the wall. Primer creates a barrier between the wall and the paper so that the adhesive doesn't overly bond with the wall material

"You need to seal the plaster first, so a light wash with 70% paint mixed with 30% water .
Once dried, you can then paper.
Some people prefer to livne the wall with lining paper and some are happy with the paper straight onto the wall.
Always paint surrounding walls and ceilings pre papering .
I hope this helps"

"Hi,

The correct procedure for new plaster is two choices, first use a watered down solution of PVA glue and paint on with a large brush, second is to size the wall with a watery mix of wall paper paste or size, leave to dry for 24 hours and then ready to paper. Hope this helps you out.

Cheers."
