Will it save me money to prepare the walls ready for papering myself

"Well the simple answer is yes it will save you money as the tradesperson will need less time on the job. Pretty much every imperfection or indentation on the wall will show through once the paper is hung so if you are confident in your abilities then have at it, if not then maybe get a professional to do it."

"Yes Definitely fill & sand all cracks bllemshes in wall seal an y da.mp patches check on wallpaper the walls might need crossing first"

"Buy or rent a wall sander. Definitely makes a big difference for gaining smooth surfaces. Screwfix sells Evolution wall sander for around d £150. Good bit of kit and will save money on a professional doing it for you."
