Vinyl vs laminate flooring cost

redoing the kitchen and hallway floors and cant decide between vinyl and laminate. which works out cheaper fitted, and which lasts better with kids and a dog

"Laminate is more expensive but more hard wearing and will last a lot longer than vinyl, with kids and dog you wouldn’t want replace it again after a few years so laminate would be my choice"

"Considering cost vinyl is cheaper but safe and long lasting is laminate. Laminate labour cost £15 onwards per square meter"
