Valspar or Dulux?

Need to repaint a few rooms and trying to decide between Valspar and Dulux. Anyone used both and noticed any real difference?

"I’ve used both Valspar and Dulux on different projects, and honestly it comes down to what you value most. Dulux usually wins for coverage and durability. It tends to need fewer coats and holds up well over time. Valspar has a really wide colour range and can be more budget-friendly, but in my experience it sometimes needs an extra coat to get the same finish. If you’re doing high-traffic rooms, I’d lean toward Dulux. For lighter use spaces or if you want more colour flexibility, Valspar works great."

"Both good products ,Valspar slightly more expensive so will probably keep the colour longer .But you wouldn"t go wrong with either paint."

"Vesper – it’s a decorative paint that creates a sandy texture effect, looks very stylish and is resistant to cleaning.

Dulux – it’s a classic wall paint for everyday use, comes in a wide range of colors, covers well and is durable."

"Dulux, definitely without a doubt. The quality is the best and they have so many ranges you can’t go wrong"

"Dulux but not the dulux from B&Q go to the dulux trade centre. They have a paint called Armstead which is just as good emulsion but alot cheaper."

"I recommend Dulux trade; you can get fresh mixed paint at a very good price, but don't buy it from shops like B&Q or Wickes; the quality is not the same."

"Avoid them both. Use Crown or Johnstones trade.
They both offer deeper, richer colours, better finishes that wipe clean and are better for touch ups. Oh and a lot cheaper."

"Out of the 2 I would choose dulux every time. Valspar is quite hard to work with as the latex content is quite low, which means it doesnt apply well and can feel quite dry. A paint I will always recommend is little greene!!!! The way it applies is seamless, and one coat always looks like 2 because of its pigmentation."

"Valspar has a higher gloss finish than dulux, they're both high quality paints"
