"Not really just make sure there is no overlap of the step with the train le as it will definitely make it weak and will eventually break off"

"I would make sure the surface of the steps are level and either fill any large imperfections with concrete or an exterior two part filler. Allow this to cure before tiling. When tiling use an exterior tile adhesive that you mix yourself in a bucket. Mapei make some good products in my opinion and I get this from Screwfix, Wickes or similar. Make sure the adhesive is suitable for the material your tile is made of: ceramic, porcelain, stone etc. Use a spirit level and tile spacers and plan your tiles and cuts before koi mix your adhesive, I.e. arrange the tiles in your desired combination before sticking them to your steps."

"If the steps are outside then exter quality tiles messy be used together with an exterior tile adhesive. The tiles must be for flooring and anti slip.
If the tile width is less than the step width then the full tile is laid at step front any smaller Infill is laid at the back of the step next to the riser. A very small angle (pitch) to the front may be advisable in order for rainwater to drain off.
In winter this could freeze and become very dangerous.
Trust this helps ..
