Suitability of heat pump for home

Can a heat pump installer or expert evaluate whether my home will benefit from a heat pump, including the annual costs and savings involved?

"I’m not a heat pump installer or expect but any means, but your house would need to be insulated correctly. I’ve worked in a lot of property’s who have heat pumps and some have been very disappointed and like it. Now I do believe some property’s haven’t had right pump installed so delivers poor heat. Me personally wound get heat pumps yet as Si t believe they are the answer. You can get a hybrid now I believe"

"Hi , after heat loss calculation of the property it is possible for installler to predict annual usage for electrics .(price of KWh are changing so it’s hard to predict annuals costs.)It’s depend from your home ( how well insulated is it ) and what’s current state and type of your existing central heating."

"They are only good in a well insulated home , not very cost effective , if you are looking to future proof your heating , I would recommend a hydrogen ready boiler ."

"Hi Cheryl
I think the best idea is contacting a local heat pump installer. From what I've heard they can determine the size of the heat pump for the house and balance it all out. Heating engineers now are being asked a lot to calculate heat loss and how to minimise it. So they can advise on any additional Insulation that is required in the property to make it work much better."
