Stain decking with fence paint

Hi, I have a Cuprinol fence paint which I love. Could I paint my decking with this and then finish with a clear “proper” decking anti slip paint?

"Yes of course it’s the same to yours on decking or fencing but make sure you seal decking afterwards"

"Yes that won't be a problem just make sure that you clean the decking before you paint it. With a jet wash make sure all the loose bits are removed like moss and lichen and your good to go many thanks kane"

"Ideally, decking paint cost isn’t much different. Why use fence paint when decking paint is just as cheap"

"I would not advise this when it rains fence paint comes off decking,
You can trail it from foot wear over slabs and through your house."

"Not recommended as foot traffic will wear it off.
Staining needs to be done when decking is dry and clean otherwise any paint will seal in the damp.
A decking protector seal or paint is recommended for durability."

"Hi. I would say it would be fine to paint in any colour you choose and then would need sealing with a clear not slip decking treatment."
