Pros and cons of travertine tiles

Hi. My wife and I are considering having new tiles installed in our bathroom. We’ve looked at quite a few options and want to know what the pros and cons are of travertine tiles? Are they a good option?

Hi. Travertine is a lovely tile to look at but needs more TLC  than a non-porous tile. They need to be sealed with a special sealant I’d recommend once a year. It is also going to cost you a lot more in labour costs as they need to be Machine cut and sealed twice once before grouting once after! Hope this helps

Travertine is very soft but heavy stone tile. 
It is easy to take care of so it is easy to clean. There is no pros and cons of the product as its stone the only difference it makes with normal tile is that is thicker and more expensive plus for us tilers it is bit more difficult to lay these as whoever does it need to know how to work with travertine

Depending on the stone personally I would not use that material definitely not you could have problems with it staining and cracking and could be perfectly fine it's an absorbing material not ideal

Expensive, Requires periodic sealing and Cold and slippery underfoot
