Pre-grown tall hedges for my garden

Can you have pre-grown tall hedges installed in your garden to make it more private? Will I need planning permission? And could this lead to a dispute with my neighbours?

You will not need planning permission. I can't see why this would cause an issue with neighbours unless the bushes cause any disruption on their side or breaking down any fencing etc.

Yes you can purchase what is known as instant hedging if that is the desired result. Planning permission will depend on your deeds/boundary lines and your personal circumstances but if unsure always consult your local council first.

It isn’t illegal or a crime to have high hedges. If they become too big and fall over etc and cause damage, they can be reported as a nuisance. Nothing can stop you. You can legally without any interference have 2m tall hedges which your neighbours couldn’t do nothing about.

You can try put the pregrown hedges I’m not sure but about the neighbour if it’s in your property then they can’t do anything about but complain to you, only fences over certain height and walls can give you troubles if didn’t pass planning permission , hedges do not require it
