Plastering over artex

I had hall and landing artex skimmed October/November had the ceilings painted the plaster came away leaving the artex. It's now been skimmed again thus time over blue grit. I've now have two horizontal hairline cracks one going down into the wall about 12 inches either side. I felt at the ceiling it doesn't feel loose in anyway. Is this normal shrinkage any advice would be appreciated.

"First of all if plaster came away from artex down fall is your ceiling was not sealed so plaster would go on but has surface is not sealed it would not hold"

"Sounds as if there was cracks that wasn't taped before skimming you can tape over and fill or just fill with a filler and sand it back"

"the rendering should not havve cracked at all ; i feel its an error benieth it or movement . it would be a final solution to open the cracks apply tape and refill the areas"

"Multi finish plaster does sometimes shrink.
This sometimes causes hairline cracks.
A good remedy for this is neat pva

Using a small brush fill the crack with the pva
This fills the crack and binds it together
9 times out of ten this works and the crack never appears again.

Do this 24 hours before painting or if already painted re paint 24 hours later"
