Plaster has hairline cracks

I have recently got my walls skimmed. After a day I noticed hairline cracks like you get when a window is cracked. Plasterer says it’s fine and happened due to the hot weather outside. He says it’s fine to paint after whitewashing the walls. Should I stop him from painting as I’m not sure if this is normal to have those cracks. I don’t want the cracks to reappear after painting as it’s a waste of my paint and time. Please help me?

"If its a reskim on walls going over old walls that has cracks in it yes they will keep reappearing it should have be redone to eliminate the cracks hence prep work not been done correctly,if over plasterboard then yes heat can affect it I had same issue over plasterboard other day in some arears hence I have stop skiming till cools down"

"Hi if it’s cracked already then it will definitely come back once painted ,paint don’t stop cracks it will hide it for a short time then come back
,the wall should have been meshed, this method
Reinforces the work so a plasterer can safely say it shouldn’t crack again"

"Also it may of not had enough primer before skimming on top, in this weather i would go over the wall twice with slightly more water in the mix again depends on which background, also sbr primer is the best to use before skimming with multifinish."

"This cracking can happen in hot weather as the plasterer said and you can go ahead and paint without it shown through the paint whatsoever, however if the plaster has dried to quick then the cracking can show through. If you rub your hands over it slowly it should feel really smooth, but the only way to find out is to take the plasterers word for it."

"Yes this is more then likely to do with the hot weather, as long as it sounds solid when you tap it, it will paint over with no problems"
