"Start by scraping the paint with a plastic scraper or a utility knife. Pour a small amount of nail polish remover onto a clean microfibre cloth afterwards and dab it on the tile. Leave it for a few minutes so the paint can soften. Scrub the tiles with the acetone-soaked cloth to remove the excess paint."

"Assuming the paint is emulsion then I use All Purpose Cleaner: “Flash” or similar applied neat using a microfiber cloth, both available from most supermarkets, if really difficult to shift the paint then try using a stiff plastic or wooden spatula, failing that for bigger blots of paint then use a window scraper (available from most DIY outlets), this is a plastic handle for a Stanley knife blade. If the paint is a water or oil based wood paint then if the above does not work try a fine synthetic pan cleaner (the green square ones are ideal) and if you are still struggling purchase some Isopropyl, which is an alcohol based cleaning agent ( I purchase mine from Amazon)"

"what type of paint is it? if its an oil based paint you are not going to damage tiles with white spirits or if the paint is water based a damp cloth and some mild detergent will get it clean off."
