Outside light required - LED sealed unit or GU10 bulbs?

I want to replace my outside light from an old style light to something a bit brighter. I was looking at a led sealed unit but don't want to have to change it again in the near future. Are these any good? Where can I get a good one or alternatively the best spot light outside light with replaceable bulbs?

"If you're looking for something to light up an area a led floodlight would be ideal, you should get 15000 hours plus out of a unit, if you're looking for something more decorative up/down lights with a led lamp in are popular, but wont light up a large area."

"Depends on how bright you want it and as someone pointed out already don't have it too bright or the neighbours will get ansty.
We all know that if you pay peanuts you get rubbish equipment and service."

"Screwfix or Toolstation have some pretty good LED lights and are fairly simple to install.

Take into consideration that LED lights are considerably brighter and you need to ensure this doesn't shine into other neighbors windows or living rooms.

Hope this helps

"I’d go LED. The basic rule is that the more you spend the better quality the light will be.
I’d probably look at Amazon for a one off purchase - just because you can read the reviews."

"Hi
If you're looking for something old style I would go with the half lantern light. It comes with built in LEDs which last about 30000 hours so you won’t be changing it soon. You can find them on amazon or your local electrical store

"Most bulkhead style LED lights come with an integrated LED gear tray & it’s quite difficult to find fittings that are not intergrated. Quoted operating. Hours at >30,000. As always, works should be carried out & tester by a competent individual."

"All LEDs sealed unit or not sealed are only as good as the manufactured quality;
as to not changing it again in the near future. your only guidance's here would be the manufactures guarantee."

"The led lights should be fine to replace your outside light but don’t buy the cheapest on the market as they can be very flimsy go to a wholesalers and buy a sturdy half decent one as they last thousands of hours may tell you on the box
