    Masking type use before painting

    Painters & Decorators

Could you give me an idea of the best types/products of masking tape that I should use before painting something? Where could I buy these options?

    WonderWall Plastering and Painting

"If your using it around the floor just to protect the floor carpet or laminate then just use an everyday masking tape from The Range or B&Q. This will cost about £2. If your using it for cutting in around the ceiling or around a light switch etc then use Frog Tape. This will cost about £7 per roll. But its well worth it if your not an experienced painter.

    Hope this helps. If you"

They differ according to the surface you stick the tape to.

"Sharp edge masking tape is the go-to tape for most painters and decorators as it allows you to get a crisp line when painting. Most precision tapes will come in a range of widths and tack levels including low-tack and outdoor.
