    Marking gauge

Hi, I'm just wondering what is the best brand or store to go with to buy a marking gauge from?

"Marking guages made of hardwood with brass adjustment fitting and pins are all adequate if looked after and used correctly . Spear and Jackson have ones made of rosewood they are usually a prestige inclusion in any bench joiners toolbox . Beech ones are generally used more often and slightly cheaper , they do the same job just as well , it depends how much wear , tear and continuous use they will get .
Should be able get one online with minimal postage cost ."

"Maybe Record? And as in shop or store to go to assuming you want a physical store to go to rather then an online one may I recommend Axminster as in carpentry tools ,you may find it there, the marking gauge (depending on the type of gauge of course)"
