Ask your QuestionHi, I'm just wondering what is the best brand or store to go with to buy a marking gauge from?
Asked by Harry on 4th Jul 2022"Marking guages made of hardwood with brass adjustment fitting and pins are all adequate if looked after and used correctly . Spear and Jackson have ones made of rosewood they are usually a prestige inclusion in any bench joiners toolbox . Beech ones are generally used more often and slightly cheaper , they do the same job just as well , it depends how much wear , tear and continuous use they will get .
Should be able get one online with minimal postage cost ."
