Kitchen Strip Lighting

Hi, I was wondering where I could acquire replacement strip lighting for a kitchen? I require two replacements due to dysfunction in the current strip lights, and then i would like a quote regarding what it would cost to install the strip lighting.

"There are literally thousands of shops, hardware stores and websites in the UK that supply led lighting, I suggest a google search.
As for a quotation, you probably want to post a job on here to attract the attention of a local electrician."

"Strip lighting can cost around 40-50 depending on how long the length you require may be. Different wholesalers charge at different rates for cuttings and joining some strip lights aren’t ideal as they break a lot easier. Labour cost be around 60-80."

"Good afternoon Rob,

To answer your question it’s dependent on the age of the fitting, on the older style fluorescent tube lighting there are components that can fail such as ballasts & starters etc. With regards to the replacements, I would use led strip lighting which tends to be cheaper now it’s been around for a while.

"Hi there.

You can purchase a replacement fitting from any electrical wholesaler. CEF, EDMUSON ELECRICAL, YES ELECTRICAL are just a few names of many. You could also use more commercialised places, the likes of Screwfix or Toolsation. However you will find the dedicated electrical stores will have more option & will be more knowledgeable.

In terms of labour you should be paying around £50 - £60 to replace the fitting.

Kind regards

Ben"

"You are better off submitting a job here for a quote and the electrician is able to get the items at trade price for you. That way you can get a more accurate quote for your kitchen lighting replacement."

"The price for the labour is going to be around £50 but you need to get the lights."
