Kitchen Cooker hood replacement

We require a cooker hood installed in our kitchen. Do we just need an electrician for this? How much is it likely to cost?
Thank you

"It is always advised to have any electrical work carried out by a qualified and competent person.
Price can vary dependant on what works needs to be carried it. A number of factors determine this, is there already a power supply? Is there already an outlet? Is it. A like for like.
In my opinion prices can vary from £80 to £150/£200."

"Hi Gavu

This would be an electricians job yes.

Can I ask is it’s a like for like swap, or if this is a new installation requiring an electrical feed and core hole at the desired location?

"install a cooker hood. If there is already an electrical connection and ducting, the job is straightforward. Installation typically costs around £150–£300, depending on the complexity and whether new wiring or venting is needed. The work usually takes 3–6 hours to complete."

"An electrician is best if you need new wiring or a certificate. Installation typically costs £150–£400, depending on if it's a simple swap or requires new ducting."

"With the new updates to regulation for Ventilation, this is now notifiable work and an electrician or someone Part F would need to notify for this replacement - Expect costs between £100 - £200"

"If the hole is there you only need a electrician. If you want the electrician to drill the hole there's where the price depends on kind of the wall. If is just like for like usually cost around £150 labour only. Thanks."
