"Ipe is very durable and will last 50+ years if maintained, it will turn silver grey, it's fire resistance is good, you can also look at cumaru which is very similar to ipe but cheaper and better for the environment, ipe is quite expensive to lay because it's so incredibly hard, every fixing needs drilling etc, but it's lovely in the right location, I hope this helps.
