How would I make floral wallpaper ‘work’ in a living room?

How would I make floral wallpaper ‘work’ in a living room? I’m worried it may look off or old-fashioned. Any suggestions?

"There are a few things to consider in answer to your question Kelly. 1) the size of the room. Would you be papering the whole room? if so a large floral in a small room would really close the room in whereas a small floral pattern with a lightish background would offset this. 2) A feature wall again with a large floral pattern may look overbearing. In my opinion, I would advise to err on the side of caution and pick a small pattern with a fairly light background thus giving you more options with the colour to the remaining walls.
Hope this helps, Arthur Seagrave."

"Try applying it to the largest wall as a feature and painting the others a complimentary colour."

"Hi I would suggest picking colours from the design (preferably the most modern looking) and apply to the meeting walls, this would also make the paper flow with the rest of the room. Wish you all the best with this"

"So for anyone putting wallpaper up it is best to have one wall being your main feature wall to have it such as a living room have one wall with wall paper and the. The rest of the a neutral colour"
