How to take down a conservatory

We want to remove our leanto conservatory and replace it with an open outdoor seating area with a low half brick wall. How big a job is demolition? And will we need to get planning permission for this change?

"No you don't need planning because it's a open space area at ground level and taking away the conservatory reduces the built volume it's considered a none complex project"
