How to create a spa-like accessible shower

Due to mobility issues we're replacing the bath with a large shower. How can we make it safe and accessible but look spa-like rather than functional?

"All depends on design and cost you willing to spend, bathroom floor can be prepared for walking / wet room and you could use it with wheelchair, and what ever shower fitting you would buy can be position to don't splush around,"

"This can be done with either a level access shower tray (which means you don't have to 'wetroom' the floor or by putting in a wetroom former and then tiling the room, in this case we recommend under-floor heating. In the shower area there is a choice of waterproof wallboard in various styles or fully tiling the whole room. Also, provided there is a suitable water system, the Aqualisa digital shower system would be great. Most other items can be wall hung to allow them to be at the right height for comfort. All making the room functional without the less-abled look."

"You could make it into a wet room, no enclosure needed, drain would be set in the floor. Fully tiled or aqua panel for the walls. With the correct materials these can look absolutely stunning. Hope this helps"
