How much does it cost to convert to solar power?

Our electricity bills have jumped again and I'm seriously looking at solar panels, possibly with a battery too. For a three bed semi, what's a realistic all-in cost these days?

"Probably around 3-5 thousand depending on the size of the system you want to have installed"

"Hi Lauren, realistically youll be looking £10000+ for a good solar and battery installation. The savings do take many years to show, and of course efficiency of the panels depend on which direction your roof is facing. Have you considered looking into air/ground source heat pumps? There is an ongoing government grant which may cover a large amount of the cost for these alternatives."

"Can vary for how many panels or size of system. I’d be happy to come and talk you through options and show you some systems we have installed"
