How much does insinkerator installation cost?

We've bought an insinkerator for the new kitchen but the fitter won't touch it. what would a tradesman charge for the instalation? There's already a socket under the sink which is used for dishwasher that's next to the sink

The electrical connection is the easy part. Most of the work is pipe work and fitting the product into place. It’s not a massive job but can be time consuming.

It’s hard to say exactly how much it would cost as it depends on how difficult it is to install the new supply.  I would charge around £200 to carry out this installation.

From what I can see It is an appliance (3-pin plug)  so should probably be assigned to a capable person but not necessarily an electrician, if your socket is in an adequate location (under the sink) by this I mean not easily water damaged or damaged by any other services or external influences.

A typical installation would cost around £180–£280, assuming the InSinkErator is supplied, there is enough space under the sink, and the existing plumbing and electrical supply are suitable.

The dishwasher socket may not be suitable for powering both appliances, so the electrical supply would need to be checked. Additional plumbing alterations or a new switched socket/fused connection would cost extra. A photo of the area under the sink would help provide an accurate quotation.
