How much do waste removal services with skips cost?

Hello,
Due to some major renovation work we have planned for our home, we will need a waste removal service to get rid of the junk being cleared out.
We would ideally like to hire a skip for the waste with removal service after the renovation is finished.
Does anyone have any estimates of the costs for hiring a waste removal service?
Do most waste removal companies provide skips as part of the service? Are there any other costs involved?

"Hello
Skips will usually be provided to you for the agreed period of time, with a pick up date.
The cost is generally based on the amount of waste that you are disposing of – which will be based on the weight or the amount of skips required.
Rough estimates for skips:
0.5 skip (0.5 tonne) £150
1 skip (1 tonne) £200
2 skips (1.8 tonnes) £360
However, your local waste removals may have their own cost standardisation for weight boundaries or the number of skips.
For most waste removal companies there will also be additional charges for certain materials with specific recycling/disposal requirements. It is always worth checking with the company what items would incur additional costs and by how much, before hiring the company. Examples of these common items include; paints, mattresses, tyres, fridges (assorted types), gas containers. "

"Generally, a skip is cheaper the other is done by weighing so could be expensive! Make sure they are registered or you can be fined"

"Skips are usually between £180-£300 depending on size, this cost usually includes 7-14 days free hire then you may occur an additional charge per week on top, this is the case with most but not every company.
Also you may require a skip licence, if it's on public high way, most skip companies would usually apply for this on your behalf.
Hope this helps."
