How much does it cost to tip trade waste?

The tradesman we're thinking of hiring for a job doesn't want to handle waste disposal, so what are we looking at for ripping out an old kitchen and putting in a new one? Is this basically just get a skip or can I do it at lower cost?

"The cost of disposing of construction waste after a kitchen renovation in Bristol or Wales depends on the volume of debris and the method you choose. Since your tradesperson isn't handling the waste, here are your best options:
Skip Hire: This is the most reliable method. For a standard kitchen rip-out, a 6-yard skip is usually sufficient. In this area, prices typically range from £230 to £300. Please note that if the skip needs to be placed on a public road, a Council Permit is required, which usually costs an extra £60 to £100.
Waste Removal Services (Man & Van): This can often be cheaper and faster than a skip. Companies charge based on how much of the van is filled. For a medium kitchen, you might expect to pay between £150 and £220. They also handle the heavy lifting for you.
Skip Bags (e.g., Hippo Bags): You can buy the bag at stores like B&Q or Wickes for around £15-£20 and pay for collection later (approx. £130-£160). This is a great budget-friendly option if you have limited space.
Cost-Saving Tip: If your old kitchen units are still in decent shape, try listing them for 'Free Collection' on Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. Many people look for used cabinets for garages or utility rooms, which could save you the disposal fee entirely!
Important: Always ensure the person collecting your waste has a valid Waste Carrier License to avoid any legal issues regarding fly-tipping."
