How long should I wait to pave patio after three course DPC wall bricks replaced?

How long should I wait to pave patio after three course DPC wall bricks replaced? We use class A engineering bricks, Should we use Bitumen DPC sealer to add a protective layer of protection? Applying a non-breathable sealer, such as bitumen, Will it trap moisture inside the bricks and cause damage?

"After replacing three courses of Class A engineering bricks at the DPC level, you should wait until the mortar has properly cured before laying your patio.
⏱ Recommended wait time:
Minimum: 7 days (in warm, dry weather)
Ideal: 10–14 days before paving up to it
This allows:
Mortar to fully hydrate and achieve strength
Any residual moisture in the new brickwork to evaporate
Reduced risk of trapping moisture beneath the DPC once the paving and bedding are installed
If you pave too soon, moisture can get sealed behind the paving and push salts (efflorescence) or cause frost damage later."

"Wait around a week, and avoid using bitumen since it can trap moisture in the bricks and cause long-term damage."
