HOLES IN CEMENT

Question

Could you please advise me as to what product could be used to bung up the hole/s, in the cement, under the fascia, of my roof? Which would set hard, and be rat-proof. Rats have climbed up the drain pipe, to crawl into the hole, and entered the roof space. I need to deal with the problem quickly. Would I need scaffolding, as opposed to a ladder? It is in an awkward place. I have posted a job, but no one has got back to me, so I am considering doing it myself. Is there any kind of guard, that could be put around the drainpipe? To stop the rat/s from climbing up it.

I would say with out looking at it I would put a scaffold up cut round of pipe fix boarding round and skimplaster and put neting round it.

You can use rapid set sand and cement depending on where holes are scaffolding may be your best option for safety rats will go up drainpipe internally so wire basket at bottom of pipe should stop them

Oder lager ladder upto 10 meter the fills all the hole with expandable foam spray

You may need to install new Facia or soffit we have that problem on a job cables were damaged we sorted this by install new soffit to the facias

It is extremely unlikely that rats are gaining access up a downpipe, have you investigated other options I.e neighbours property?

You can add a new lay of cement which will inturn fill the holes or you can but self-levelling products which cam do the job.

You should have scaffolding

You can put wire mess around but they can still get through this
