Subfloor replacement

I have an old terraced property. Is limecrete on glass insulation a better option than concrete subfloor for breathability. We have quarry terracotta tiles and a suspended floor. And the whole downstairs needs replacement.

"Yes, limecrete on glass insulation (such as recycled foam glass aggregate) is a much better option than concrete for breathability in an old terraced property, especially if you’re replacing a suspended timber floor and using traditional quarry or terracotta tiles. Unlike concrete, which is impermeable and can trap moisture, limecrete allows the floor and walls to breathe, helping to prevent rising damp, condensation, and long-term damage to the building fabric. Glass insulation adds thermal performance while remaining vapour-permeable, making the whole system compatible with the natural moisture movement in older homes."

"For breathability yes! Although if you looking at cost, concrete will keep it down significantly"

"This is a great option to use in older properties built with solid brick, no cavity walls.
Limecrete min 100mm used over a suitable breather membrane, over compacted glass foam base ( geocell) min 100mm, with suitable geo-textile base layer.
Can be formed in / over a suspended floor."
