"You can apply a ready-mixed interior smoother/finishing plaster, or multi finish plaster, if using multi finish be sure to seal/prime the ceiling first with PVA or SBR."

"All depends on what finish you desire. My recommendation would be to grit the ceiling and allow to dry. Then apply 2 coats of 2mm multi-finish and trowel up to leave a nice even smooth finish. Hope you're project goes well."

"Standard procedure is to scrape high spots of artex off. Then apply pva mixed with water to creatd a key for plaster to adhere to. Then over skim the artex with multi finish plaster. This creates a smooth flat surface ready for painting."

"Don’t apply any products over the top off Artex my recommendation is
1 reboard the ceiling with 12.5 plaster boards staggered joists tape all joints then apply a2 coat finish with multi finish plaster the results are much better than trying to over plaster Artex I hope all this information helps you"
