What would be a reasonable warranty to expect with a dado rail?

"I would say 12 months warranty, like previous answers on here if a dado rail is screwed in and glued should be permanent for many years."

"All depends on how the material has been fixed to the wall.

If this has been done so proplery, then I'd expect atleast a few years, but 12 months minimum.

Anything less that 12 months then to me it's down to poor workmanship"

"If a dado rail is installed properly as opposed to simply glued onto the wall on top of the paint , then it should stay in place for many many years. I'm currently working on a house where the dado rail and picture rail were installed when the house was built in 1895."

"Will all depend on how well it has been fixed to the wall .if it has only been stuck on then not long if it's been screwed and glued then will last for many years"

"The warranty for a dado rail can vary depending on the manufacturer and the material used. Here are some general guidelines for what you might expect:

MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) dado rails may come with a warranty of 1-3 years.
Pine dado rails may come with a warranty of 3-5 years.
Hardwood dado rails like oak or maple may come with a warranty of 5-10 years.
Plaster dado rails may come with a warranty of 10-15 years.
It's important to note that these are just general guidelines and that the actual warranty may vary depending on the specific product and the manufacturer. When purchasing a dado rail, be sure to ask about the warranty and read the terms and conditions carefully to ensure that you understand what is covered and for how long"

"10-15 years. But really we all want a life time guarantee, that’s what you get with the older houses."
