Garage keeps getting dusty

How can I keep my garage from getting dusty? The doors and walls look fine at a glance, but I’m wondering if air or dirt is getting in somewhere obvious that I’m missing.

"I would firstly check the seals on the doors and window (drinks and cracks), especially if you have a large garage door. They may need replacing. A good test is a night, turn the lights on and look around your garage for gaps.
Or if your garage floor is dirty or not sealed that could cause it. There could also be gaps around any pipe work or services that need to be blocked."

"Its mostly likely from the concrete floor expelling dust. Having it resealed should reduce it significantly."

"Dust in garages is very common, even if everything looks sealed. The main causes are usually small gaps and airflow.

Here are a few things to check:

• Garage door seals – check the rubber seal at the bottom and sides of the door. If it’s worn or has gaps, dust can easily blow in.
• Small gaps or cracks – look around the edges of the door frame, walls, and ceiling. Sealing them with decorator’s caulk or silicone can help.
• Concrete floor dust – unfinished concrete floors can create their own dust. Applying a garage floor sealer or epoxy can reduce this a lot.
• Vents or airflow – dust can also come through vents or when the door is opened frequently.
• Weather stripping – adding new weather stripping around the door can stop outside dust getting in.

In most cases, replacing the door seal and sealing small gaps makes the biggest difference."

"Air and dust can come in under the garage door as this wouldn't be sealed"

"Dust enters garages through small gaps, open doors, and dirt tracked in on shoes or tires. Seal gaps with weatherstripping or caulk, sweep and clean regularly, consider sealing the concrete floor, and store items in bins or cabinets. Wiping surfaces and using filtered ventilation also helps reduce buildup."

"Dust in garages is often caused by small gaps around the garage door, vents, or cracks in the walls or floor. Even if everything looks fine, dust can still come in through these areas.

You can reduce dust by sealing gaps around the garage door with weather strips, checking vents and adding filters, and sealing any cracks in the floor or walls with appropriate filler or sealant.

Regular cleaning and sealing the concrete floor with a garage floor sealer can also help prevent dust from building up.

“A local handyman or decorator can help inspect and seal the gaps if needed.”"

"This could be dust from an unsealed concrete floor. Either seal the concrete or paint it with an epoxy based concrete paint would be my advice."

"Hi - my name is Phil .

"Good day, I am sure there should be from the small gaps on and around the door. Dust can gat through very small gaps. If the garage is occasionally opened it can be that short space of time."
