Awning fabric replacement cost

The awning over our patio is about ten years old, frame's still solid but the fabric is faded and torn at one corner. Can you get just the fabric replaced rather than the whole thing? Prices I should expect?

"The awning manufacturer will determine the specifics. While the fabric can be replaced, it will necessitate precise measurements, likely requiring a custom-made material."

"Yes, you can absolutely replace just the awning fabric. In fact, if the metal frame, arms, and brackets are still strong and structurally sound, doing a fabric recover is a highly cost-effective choice. It saves you a massive chunk of change compared to buying a whole new system, especially if you already have custom brackets or electric motors integrated"

"Yes, absolutely. If the frame and mechanism are still in good condition, you can normally replace just the fabric rather than the complete awning. The cost will depend on the size, fabric choice and whether it’s a standard or made-to-measure replacement."

"Yes, in most cases you can replace just the awning fabric if the frame, arms and mechanism are still in good working order. It’s often much more cost-effective than replacing the complete awning.

For a typical patio awning in the UK, you might expect roughly £300–£700 for replacement fabric supplied and fitted, depending on the size, fabric quality and access. Larger awnings or premium acrylic/weather-resistant fabrics can be £700–£1,000+. If the awning is motorised, it’s also worth having the mechanism checked while the fabric is being changed.

A good installer should be able to measure the existing awning, supply a matching or upgraded fabric, remove the old cover and fit the new one without replacing the frame."

"Yes, in most cases you can replace just the awning fabric if the existing frame and mechanisms are still in good condition. A specialist can measure the frame and make a replacement cover to fit. As a rough guide, expect around £300–£800 for a typical domestic awning, depending on its size, fabric quality and fitting costs. It’s worth getting a couple of quotes, as replacing the fabric can be considerably cheaper than replacing the whole awning"

"Yes, As long as the frame and mechanism are in good shape, replacing just the fabric is very common and far cheaper than buying a whole new unit.
The prices depend on the size."
