How do you successfully update a Freeview box? How often should it update? Will it cause many delays? And can it happen suddenly, without warning (e.g. could it happen in the middle of when I’m watching a live event or will I be able to postpone the updates in that case)?

"If you go into the settings menu and select check for updates, your box will automatically update if there is an update available.
If you want to get updates automatically you will also have to select to the auto updates option.
If you don’t select the auto updates option your box will not update without you telling it to.
Updates should improve the performance of your box and not slow it down."
