What does it mean if wiring is frayed? What is this a sign of? How can frayed wiring be fixed? Thank you so much!

"Depending on whether its fixed wiring or appliance wiring depends on how you deal with the issue.

If its fixed wiring then the only option is to replace it. It could also be an indication that the type of wiring within the home could be due to be replaced.

If its on an appliance then it may be possible to either remove the damaged section or replace the wire completely."
