"You could consider the following options:

1. A paving slab base is relatively cheap and easy to install. It provides a stable foundation for medium-sized garden buildings.

2. You can excavate the area, install a damp proof membrane, and fill it with gravel. This method is inexpensive and allows for good drainage.

3. Wood Chippings or Bark - these materials are soft, inexpensive, and good for the soil. They can be used to create a base for a cabin, but they will need to be topped up over time

4. Timber decking - This option is natural-looking and can be raised above the ground, providing a stable base for a cabin. It requires a supporting structure below and may need annual maintenance.

5. Resin-Bound Gravel - This is a durable and low-maintenance option that combines a core grid filled with gravel and a resin-bonded aggregate.

6. Gravel with Binding Agent - you can apply a pour-on binding agent to gravel to create a solid surface that still allows water to flow through.

Keep in mind that the suitability of each option may depend on the specific conditions of your lawn, the cabin's weight, and local building codes. It's always a good idea to consult with a professional or local building authority before starting any foundation work.

Hope this helps!"

"A solid concrete base is the better choice for your 3m x 5m log cabin. It provides unmatched stability, durability, and level support. Concrete prevents settling issues, offers weight distribution, and safeguards against pests and moisture, ensuring a long-lasting and secure foundation."
