"Hi, an exterior wall coating is a solution that is sprayed or brushed onto the external brickwork, it creates a waterproof barrier but still allows the wall to breathe so the building does not sweat causing condensation in cavities and mould/damp areas on internal walls and decor.

"I’m not sure of your exact definition, you could be referring to send and cement with waterproof additive, or you may just be referring to an exterior paint. If you live near the sea, I recommend pliolit which is an exterior paint to repel salts from the sea water."

"Its basically a very thick paint applying in two coats will give a good result once complete this will seal the house but not perfectly if your looking for a perfect 100% seal from all weathers I would recommend a render mix of some type flat render would be my choice it's the most effective coating against damp .rain. ect hope this information is helpful many thanks Vincent"

"There are many products out there that can water proof masonry and applied easily with a brush or sprayed on. You can also have it rendered with water proof render."
