"Yes, it is possible to fit an electric shower to a gravity-fed F&E (feed and expansion) system with a cold water tank in the loft and a cylinder in an upstairs cupboard. Electric showers are designed to work with cold water supply only, so they are compatible with this type of system.

Electric showers have an internal heating element that heats the cold water as it passes through the unit, providing hot water for your shower. They do not rely on a hot water cylinder or boiler, which makes them independent of the existing hot water system in your home.

When it comes to the force or pressure of the water, electric showers are generally designed to provide a consistent flow rate regardless of the water pressure in the system. They have an integrated pump that boosts the water pressure to provide a satisfying shower experience.

However, it's important to consider the specific model and power rating of the electric shower you plan to install. Higher power-rated showers typically deliver stronger water flow. It's recommended to consult with a qualified plumber or electrician who can assess your system's water pressure and guide you on selecting an electric shower that will work well with your F&E system and provide the desired water force."

"Can get a low pressure shower.. you would need a run 10mm cable to the area in the bathroom you want it in. If you’re doing it off the bathroom cold.

You can get a normal shower if you run main pipework that could be teed off the tank supply run it down through the bathroom ceiling"

"No, electric showers primarily connect to the mains water"

"Short answer is no. An electric shower usually requires a minimum pressure which can be supplied by mains. And normally with an electric shower it’s cold water feed only."

"Hi there,
Yes sure, You can fit an electric shower but with build in pump, but your best option is to run a cold water pipe from the main all the way to where you need the shower."

"You can connect an electric shower to the hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard and the cold to the cold feed pipe. It is unlikely you would have much pressure with a gravity fed system and would probably require a shower pump."
