What does a plumbing survey cost?

We are in the process of buying an older property and our surveyor has recommended a separate plumbing inspection. What is the usual charge for this? Could someone also explain what I actually get from this? Surveyor wasn't being clear exactly why

It’s to look at waste pipes , supply pipes , if they are lead or cast iron on the waste side and lead or copper on the supply side ..

Depending on the depth of what you want doing I’d say probably between eighty to a hundred pounds.  you’d normally be looking at checking Waste water running away. Taps not dripping water pipes are working Stopcock and water meter those type of things.

A plumbing survey is where a plumber will come to your property have a look at all the pipe work how many radiators are in the home what type off boiler you  have how many toilets there are in the home and any alterations  that need addressing this will cost you a days wage for the plumber which can be between £350-£500 depends on the plumber
