"Depends on what you mean by easy? Laurel is fast growing, evergreen and extremely hardy however; it will need to be cut at least twice a year.

Yew is much slower growing and will look nicer but it is a lot more expensive."

"Any hedge is easy if the soil is right! Planting into well prepared soil will get any species of hedging off to the best possible start. Any new hedge will also need enough water to establish without suffering from drought. When established, in good soil, hedges will look after themselves... just timely cutting to keep them tidy 😀"
