Dulux Trade Diamond Matt Vs Dulux Bathroom Paint

Hello, I am planning on repainting some bathroom walls, but I’m unsure which paint is the best choice. Dulux Trade Diamond Matt or Dulux Bathroom Paint or something entirely different? Any advice on this or even for the choice of primers or sealants would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Lou

"Hi, my personal opinion would be Dulux bathroom paint. Just be sure that the walls are not damp before applying."

"Hi Lou, In short, trade paints are better than the retail equivalents. So, generally, the Dulux Diamond Matt would probably be the better option. Retail versions typically have a cheaper/weaker pigment. Trade versions will cost more, but they will cost more. Given that this is a bathroom however, you are best to use a bathroom specific paint.
From what I have found, Trade Diamond Matt seems to be fine for bathroom use also. It is always checking this for yourself to ensure any paints you use in a bathroom in future are meant to be used in bathrooms – to ensure that they will not be damaged by humidity or dampness over time."

"When it comes to painting bathroom walls, you want to make sure you use a paint that can handle the moisture and humidity that is typically present in bathrooms. Both Dulux Trade Diamond Matt and Dulux Bathroom Paint are good choices for bathroom walls, as they are specifically designed to resist moisture and can be easily wiped clean.

Dulux Trade Diamond Matt is a highly durable water-based paint that is designed to be used in high traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and bathrooms. It is a good choice for bathroom walls as it is moisture-resistant and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Dulux Bathroom Paint is another good option, as it is specifically designed for use in bathrooms and other high humidity areas. It is also moisture-resistant and can be wiped clean, and it comes in a range of colours to suit your decor.

In addition to using a suitable paint, it's also important to use a good quality primer and sealant. A primer will help the paint adhere to the wall and ensure a smooth finish, while a sealant will help to protect the paint from moisture damage.

For bathrooms, it's recommended to use a mould-resistant primer and sealant to prevent mould and mildew from growing on the walls. Dulux Trade Mouldshield Fungicidal Solution is a good option for a mould-resistant primer and sealant.

Before painting, make sure the walls are clean and dry, and any mould or mildew is removed. Apply the primer and sealant according to the manufacturer's instructions, and allow them to dry completely before painting.

Overall, both Dulux Trade Diamond Matt and Dulux Bathroom Paint are good choices for bathroom walls. Make sure to use a good quality primer and sealant to ensure a long-lasting finish"

"Out of the two I would choose Dulux bathroom/Kitchen, there are a few tips to adding a product to a different paint, but those are experience learnt secrets. Primer = any as its the bathroom paint that does the protection. I hope that helps.

"Bathroom paint is probably better. It’s also designed to deal with the different temperature that a bathroom has ie steam, cold and hot water"
