Does a shower need to go in a corner?

Does a shower need to be located in a corner of the bathroom or can it technically go anywhere? We have a good-sized room and are planning a walk in shower, so I think it should take centre stage.

"No problem being in middle of a room, as a wet room no glass panels required."

"It can go anywhere you like... for what you're proposing it would work with having a screen in front and open access either way... shower against the wall spraying onto the screen."

"Technically shower can be anywhere. Usually customer put it in the corner due to space. If ur bathroom is big enough then middle is just fine😊"

"Not at all. It really depends on the space that you are working with. Showers are usually build in the corner as a space management but two side walking shower or wet rooms are classic example of endless possibilities."

"The shower cabin does not necessarily have to be in the corner of the room. Technically, it can be installed anywhere in the room. It depends on your wishes and the layout of the room"
