"Hi yes you need a structural engineer to inspect the wall, if its a low bearing wall it would need some kind of support to take the weight above,RSJ or catnic lintall"

"Yes, you need a structural engineer to tell you whether a wall has been removed correctly. A structural engineer is a qualified professional who can assess the structural integrity of a building and determine whether a wall has been removed correctly.

There are a few reasons why you should have a structural engineer inspect a wall that has been removed:

* **To ensure that the wall was not a load-bearing wall.** A load-bearing wall is a wall that supports the weight of the building above it. If a load-bearing wall is removed without proper support, the building could collapse.
* **To ensure that the wall was removed properly.** Even if a wall is not load-bearing, it should still be removed properly to avoid damaging the surrounding structure.
* **To get a written report.** A structural engineer will provide you with a written report that outlines their findings and recommendations. This report can be used as evidence if you ever need to make a claim on your insurance.

If you are unsure whether you need a structural engineer, it is always best to err on the side of caution and have one inspect the wall. A structural engineer inspection is a relatively inexpensive way to ensure that your building is safe.

Here are some additional benefits of having a structural engineer inspect a wall that has been removed:

* **Peace of mind.** Knowing that your building is safe and that the wall was removed correctly will give you peace of mind.
* **Avoid costly repairs.** If a wall is not removed correctly, it could lead to costly repairs in the future.
* **Protect your investment.** A structural engineer inspection can help to protect your investment in your home.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions."

"Not necessarily but a skilled builder would be able to tell you that . But to be 100% sure you might need to check with and structural engineer as well."

"A competent builder can tell you if your wall has been removed correctly. Freferably one with city and guilds or an nvq. If the wall is load bearing, you may need help from a structural engineers report. Hope this helps."

"If the wall is a load bearing wall then yes a structural engineer will need to take a look but a decent builder should be able to tell you if it is or not."

"If it is/was a load bearing wall, then yes. Some may say no, but I would always recommend this is done so you don’t have problems later on. If it was not load bearing, then no."
