"We would strongly advise against attempting to fit a bay window yourself.
The reasons as follows:
Bay Windows require good strong bay poles and also when you take the old window out the building aperture needs to be supported correctly otherwise serious building damage can occur.
It always best to leave this to the professionals.
Also if you ever want to sell the property a FENSA Certificate will be required."

"Hi Patrick I would never recommend the installation of a bay window if you don’t have any experience. There are multiple factors to take into account a lot of bays are supporting loads and proper calculations should be done. What is the bay supporting as you may need bay jacks to take the weight of the structure or roof been supported by the frames once the temporary support (acro prop) is removed this can cause all sorts of problems short and long term if not done correctly, Bay windows are straight forward with experience and it’s worth paying a pro to carry the work out. I hope this info helps and remember when getting a pro make sure they carry a FENSA or CERTASS registration document and always make sure their public liability is up to date."
