"Hello, did I understand correctly that you want to install ceramic tiles on the floor, but there is a toilet. Do you want to go around the toilet or do you want to remove and install the tiles, then reinstall the toilet?"

"Yes, tiles can be cut to fit around a curved toilet pedestal, but here are the two ways it is usually done:

1. The Professional Method (Recommended):
The toilet is temporarily removed, the floor is tiled completely, and the toilet is reinstalled on top. This gives the cleanest finish with no tricky gaps or visible cuts.

2. The Cutting Method:
Tiles are cut using an angle grinder to match the curve of the base. This is more difficult and usually leaves a small gap that requires a thick bead of silicone to hide the cut edges.

Important Note: Switching from vinyl to ceramic tiles will raise your floor height by about 10–15mm. Tiling under the toilet is generally better as it prevents the toilet from looking "sunken" into the floor."

"Hi, yes you can cut tiles and place them around.
Just make sure that the sub-floor is proper solid. Movements cause the grout cracking in time."

"Yes it can although it’s always better to remove the toilet first and replace on top of the tiles. When ever cutting around anything especially curves it’s always essential to cut as close as possible and then silicone will need to be done after any grouting is completed and left to dry in time"

"Hi
Yes you can cut the tiles around the items but you must make sure you ply the floor first with a minimum of 9 mm ply then screw it down every 6inchs. Is it better to take the items out then refit once’s tiled. and use thick bed slow set tile adhesive as you get more time with the tile and if you are using porcelain butter the back of the tile as well as the floor also use primer on the ply before tiling."

"Two Installation Options
1. Tile Around the Toilet (Toilet Left in Place)
• Quicker
• More intricate cutting required
• Silicone neatly finishes the edge
2. Remove the Toilet First (Recommended)
• Tiles go underneath the base
• Cleaner, more professional finish
• No visible shaped cuts
• Easier if you’re already replacing flooring

If the toilet is staying and not being replaced, it can still be cut around perfectly — it just takes a bit more precision."

"Floor tile should always be porcelain not ceramic as they are far more fragile and more likely to crack under pressure. Tile can be cut to shape by any competant fitter"

"Curved or irregula.
Angle grinder with a diamond blade – allows cutting curves or intricate shapes."
