Cost to install a video doorbell needing fuse board work

We want to fit a hardwired video doorbell (like ring but different) but were told our current setup might need some changes at the fuse board. What does this typically add to the installation cost?

Hi

This would typically depend on very on how far your fuse board is from your doorbell as you would need a transformer installed to lower the voltage for the doorbell

It can range from anything from £150-£350 depend depending on how far the doorbell is from the consumer unit and how much cable is needed

Hi Luke if you already have a existing wired doorbell you can replace it and install  it with the new one but if it needs a new wiring for your new door bell it is all depends on the route and distance to the fuse board electrician needs to see it first to give you a price

I see another company has said between £150-£300 ish but you would definitely be looking at more the lower end of the spectrum
