cost of fitting a charging station for an electric car at home

I'd love to buy an electric car someday. I'm aware that I'll likely need to have a fixed charging station fitted in my home. How much would this cost, between material and labour costs?

"Hi,
Difficult one. Depends on length and difficulty of cable run. Also depends on charger type. Guesstimate around £1400 - 1800 for a good charger (Zappi). There is currently a £350 grant from the government if fitted by OLEV approved installer."

"Hi
Depending on the type charger / car you might need new circuit installed
Many cars chargers are made with standard 3 pin plug so it’s best to research before hand"

"Hi there you will be looking around the £700 to £1000 depending were the charging point is to be located. But there is a £350 government contribution to that if you use an olev registered installer."
