Changing a window into patio door

Question

Hi, would I need a structural engineer if I’m changing a window into a patio door, but the door would be the same width as the window was so wouldn’t be altering the width or replacing the lintel etc.

no you would not need a structural engineer or calcs for this as the proposed doors are not any wider than the window that is there now.
the existing lintel will be sufficient for this proposal

No as the same lintle would remain in place and the laod bearing wouldn't increase you'll be fine for a straight swap I've done 100s
