Window gearbox removal
I have an Everest window with a broken gearbox. Looking to replace with a part I found but I can't get the old gearbox out. All screws and shoot rods removed. It won't budge. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello, Do I need Planning permission to change a current window to a door and window using the existing opening and bricking up the old back door? Also what costs would I be looking at , the opening is 1800mm wide and would be a single glazed door and then a new window to fit the left over opening. Thank you

Hi, my sliding patio door handle is coming loose. It’s a uPVC sliding patio handle. The top part has unscrewed itself but I can’t see a way to tighten it back up as the screw head appears to be inside the handle itself. Do I need to hire someone to come and fix it with special tools?

Are aluminium framed windows good at concealing heat and preventing draughts getting in? Are they any better than windows that use other materials for their frame or is it purely down to the strength of the window glass?
