Do I need council permission to alter my roof or does it come under permitted development.
I have a flat roof on the back of a second lock of flats. It is a cold roof and needs to be upgraded to a warm roof. Is this possible over winter?
I have a lead coming in from the chimney area, comes down from the top. I have soakers but no step flashing -is this an issue ?
has anyone used these fake slate clay tiles ? are they recommended ? approx cost for 1930's 3 bed hip roof semi plus area over bay/front door , 70-75 m2. , replacing welsh slate.....obviously new membrane / batons / ridges reqd.
Hi, We're buying a 1930's semi and the roof is original, but in good condition. The Survey did say that the torching needs redoing though. I asked one roofer and he said he'd never heard of it and to just try and knock the price down to get a new roof... I'd rather just repair the underside of the roof as stated in the survey - can anyone tell me if this is a specialist job? How much should it cost? And does it have to be 'torched' or could we do something else? Thanks
Thinking about redoing the roof. Not changing the structure, just new tiles. Do I still need to get permission?
What companies would you suggest I look into if I want to have solar roof tiles installed on my home?
Does the undercloaking at the verge end then sit on top of the eaves protector? Thanks
I'm currently in progress of planning my loft conversion and want to turn it into a bedroom. I need Advice on if my roof needs strengthening up or not.
Where can I buy solar tiles from? Are there any good sites throughout the UK to purchase these tiles? Do these sites offer home delivery?
