  • Can you drink softened water?

We're thinking of getting a water softener installed but someone mentioned the softened water isn't suitable for drinking. Is that right? Do you need to have a separate tap for drinking then?

    Bathroom Shower Pumps

I am a landlord. The property in question has a shower pump with a automatic flow trip switch, which is proving to be unreliable and does not always "cut in" unless the shower head is lowered and removed. Would replacing the shower pump with a manually operated one solve this problem ?

    Persistent problem with thermostatic shower

Hello, I have an exposed thermostatic shower mixer which has been cycling hot and cold, I was told to replace the shower but the new one has the same issue. The shower isgoes cold and hot after several minutes of working fine, and then starts to cycle. The previous shower worked fine for 8 years before the problem started, the combi boiler, also 8 years old and otherwise working fine, has been checked and the shower valves have been checked for debris. I am at a loss to what or where the problem lies. It’s a flat and the water pressure is low as is the flow rate and always has been, and I don’t believe this has changed recently but I can’t say for certain. Any ideas?! Thanks Rita

Hi all. Have one of my old rads the bleed nipple (small brass square type) is dripping slowly, what is the best way to try and fix this? Should I lock off the radiator, remove and put some PTFE and then reinstall? Or buy a small replacement and fit that with PTFE? Thanks I’m advance 👍🏼
